SOUTH BRUNSWICK, N.J. — The South Brunswick community is mourning the tragic loss of 21-year-old Matthew Slaski, whose life was cut short following a devastating crash on Route 1 বুধবার evening. The heartbreaking incident has left family, friends, and loved ones grappling with sudden grief.
According to authorities, the crash occurred just after 7 p.m. when Slaski was driving his 2025 Audi Q5 southbound on Route 1. A 2017 Toyota Camry reportedly exited an off-ramp onto New Road and crossed directly into his path. The impact struck the passenger side of the Audi with significant force, causing the vehicle to lose control.
The Audi overturned during the collision, and Slaski was ejected from the vehicle. Emergency responders arrived quickly at the scene and transported him to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital. Despite their efforts, he later succumbed to his injuries.
The driver of the Toyota sustained only minor injuries. Authorities have not filed charges at this time as the investigation remains ongoing. Officials continue working to determine what led to the Camry entering oncoming traffic.
