The exceptional teenager left this world unexpectedly on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, after losing a grueling fight for survival following a catastrophic two-vehicle car accident on Saturday evening, May 30, 2026. The devastating collision had already claimed the life of his beloved 16-year-old girlfriend, Briannah “Bri” Sabovitch. Ryan’s subsequent passing has left his loving parents, siblings, classmates, and teammates completely shattered as they navigate an unimaginable double tragedy.
According to official emergency response reports from the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), the high-impact collision occurred at the rural intersection of County Road 49 and Burys Green Road. First responders arrived to find wreckage from a severe T-bone collision, which instantly killed Briannah. Ryan was critically injured at the scene and immediately airlifted by an Ornge air ambulance to Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre in Toronto.
