The St. Louis, Missouri community is dealing with another act of gun violence after a man was shot and killed near the Delmar Loop Metro Station on Wednesday afternoon. The incident occurred in the West End neighborhood, prompting a large police response and an active homicide investigation.
According to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, officers were dispatched shortly after 3 p.m. to the 700 block of Hodiamont Avenue following reports of gunfire. When authorities arrived at the scene, they found a man suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite emergency efforts, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
