Paula Jeanne LeDoux peaceful passing after battle with cancer in Nambé, New Mexico

NAMBÉ, N.M. — The community of Nambé, New Mexico is mourning the loss of Paula Jeanne LeDoux, who passed away peacefully in her home on April 13, 2026, after a courageous battle with Triple Negative Metaplastic Breast Cancer. Her passing has left family, friends, colleagues, and former students heartbroken as they reflect on a life marked by compassion, dedication, and resilience.

Born on April 4, 1962, in Boston, Massachusetts, Paula’s early life took her across many states, including Nebraska, Texas, Missouri, Kansas, and New Mexico, shaping her lifelong appreciation for community and service. She later graduated from Paola High School in Kansas and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Pittsburg State University.

Paula eventually settled in New Mexico, where she built both a family and a meaningful career. She worked at Kirtland Air Force Base, where she met her husband, Mark LeDoux, and later dedicated much of her life to education and healthcare. After becoming a registered nurse, she served as a school nurse across multiple districts in northern New Mexico, touching the lives of countless children and families.

Beyond her professional achievements, Paula was known for her warmth, humor, and deep love for her family. She was a devoted mother to her sons, Samuel and Nicholas, and took great pride in their accomplishments. She was also deeply involved in her community, enjoying book clubs, arts and crafts, and caring for her beloved dogs.

Even after her diagnosis, Paula remained active, positive, and committed to helping others, continuing to support students and attend community events. Her strength and grace inspired all who knew her.
