CROSS LANES, W.Va. — The Cross Lanes community is mourning the tragic loss of 40-year-old Misty Rose Williams, who was fatally shot Monday morning in the parking lot of a Walmart in Cross Lanes, West Virginia. According to authorities, Williams was on a work break around 9 a.m. when she went to her vehicle but never returned inside the store. Concerned coworkers later went to check on her and discovered her inside the vehicle suffering from a fatal gunshot wound. Law enforcement officials identified 54-year-old Eric Dewayne Richmond, Williams’ former partner and the father of her children, as a suspect in the case.
