UTAH — The family and friends of Dennis Lee Glade are mourning his loss following his passing on the morning of April 1, 2026, at the age of 74. Dennis spent his final days surrounded by loved ones, bringing comfort and peace until the very end. His passing has left a lasting impression on the Utah community, where he was widely known and loved for his warmth, humor, and dedication to family and friends.

Born on March 25, 1952, in Salt Lake City to Vernon and Beverly Glade, Dennis grew up in Millcreek and graduated from Olympus High School in 1970. He proudly served in the National Guard and completed an LDS mission in Edinburgh, Scotland, experiences that shaped his lifelong commitment to service, faith, and community. In 1974, he married Jeanie Woolstenhulme, and together they raised four children—Melissa, Kimberly, D.J., and Matthew—in Oakley, Utah. Dennis’s family was the center of his life, and he delighted in watching his children grow and succeed.

Dennis was also beloved for his outgoing personality, infectious laughter, and ability to connect with people wherever he went. For many years, he served as the PA announcer at local high school sports events, lending energy and emotion to countless football games, swim meets, and other community events. His familiar voice became synonymous with local sports, creating memories that will be cherished by players, coaches, and spectators alike.
