Eddie Lee of Inver Park, Carrickmacross, passed away peacefully on April 2, 2026, in his 90th year, surrounded by the love of his cherished family at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda.
Eddie, a devoted father, grandfather, and brother, leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and warmth that touched everyone who knew him. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Rose, his parents Thomas and Margaret, and his siblings Pat, Michael, Fr. Hugh, Fr. Terry, Tommy, Brendan, and Annie.
His family, including his daughter Louise, son Mark (Australia), son-in-law Nigel McGivney, and his much-loved grandchildren Abbie, Rebecca, Lewis, Shane, Toni, and Brandon, will forever cherish his memory. Eddie is also survived by his sisters Mary and Josephine, and his brother Aidan, along with a large extended family, friends, and neighbors who will miss him dearly.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at Lonergan Funeral Directors Funeral Home, Carrickmacross, on Good Friday, April 3, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. His funeral cortège will leave his home on Easter Sunday, April 5, proceeding on foot to St. Joseph’s Church, Carrickmacross, arriving at 9:20 a.m. for a 9:30 a.m. Funeral Mass, followed by burial in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
