This week, 11 young Marines gave everything in service to their country, yet their names went unmentioned in mainstream media. Justin Allen, 23; Brett Linley, 29; Matthew Weikert, 29; Justus Bartett, 27; Dave Santos, 21; Jesse Reed, 26; Matthew Johnson, 21; Zachary Fisher, 24; Brandon King, 23; Christopher Goeke, 23; and Sheldon Tate, 27—all made the ultimate sacrifice to protect our freedoms.

Each of these men was more than a rank or a uniform. They were sons, brothers, friends, and members of a proud military family. Their courage and commitment remind us that freedom is not free—it comes at a cost paid by brave individuals willing to put their lives on the line. While the world may not yet have recognized their sacrifice, their valor is undeniable.

Family and fellow Marines are left to mourn the loss of vibrant lives that held so much promise. They shared laughter, dreams, and the kind of camaraderie that only military service can forge. Now, in an instant, those lives have been cut tragically short, leaving a hole in the hearts of everyone who knew them.
