A single afternoon turned into a nightmare after three teenagers were shot on the same block—yet only two survived. The loss of 18-year-old Ecaurion Wymes has left a community grieving and searching for answers in the wake of sudden violence.
The shooting happened on March 24 in the 3100 block of West 46th Street. When officers arrived, they were met with a devastating scene—three young lives, all wounded, all fighting for survival. Police immediately began rendering aid while waiting for emergency responders, doing everything possible in those critical moments.
Ecaurion was rushed to MetroHealth Medical Center, where doctors worked urgently to save him. Despite their efforts, his injuries proved fatal. He became the only life lost in the shooting, while the other two teens were transported for treatment and remain under medical care. Their current conditions have not been publicly shared
