The community is remembering and honoring the life of Eddy, a respected businessman, devoted family man, and graduate of College of the Ozarks, class of 1974, whose life left a lasting impression on all who knew him.
In 1978, Eddy married Melodie Beatty of Grove City, beginning a partnership that would span 48 years of marriage filled with love, dedication, and shared purpose. Together, they built a life rooted in family and community values. In 1980, the couple purchased the Broad Street Garage, where Eddy became not only a business owner but also a familiar and trusted figure within the local area, known for his integrity and commitment to those he served.
Eddy is survived by his loving wife Melodie, his sons Anthony Kent of Hellerup, Denmark, and Nicholas Edward (Jessica) of Gibsonia, Pennsylvania, as well as his beloved granddaughters Sophia Ann and Lilly Elizabeth. He is also remembered by his sisters Dee Spirk, Beverly Mastrangelo, and Terri Webster, along with their families, all of whom shared a close and meaningful bond with him.
Beyond his professional and family life, Eddy was known for his warmth, humor, and ability to connect with others in a genuine way. Whether spending time at Disney World with Melodie, discussing investments with his sons, or sharing conversations with friends, he had a way of being present in the moments that mattered most. Many remember him for his generosity, his willingness to help, and his thoughtful words that often came at just the right time.
