Lebanon Mourns Beloved Resident Lost in Tragic UTV Crash

Tragic UTV accident in Boyle County claims Lebanon woman’s life.

With heavy hearts, the Lebanon, Kentucky community is grieving the sudden loss of Connie Thompson, 63, who tragically died following a utility terrain vehicle (UTV) crash in Boyle County on Friday night, March 20, 2026. The accident occurred along Forkland Road in the Gravel Switch area, leaving a tight-knit community in shock.

Connie was a passenger in a Can-Am UTV driven by 41-year-old Jason Whitaker of Lebanon. Authorities report that the vehicle lost control while navigating a curve, left the roadway, and struck a tree. Emergency responders arrived promptly, but Connie sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased by the Boyle County Coroner’s Office. Whitaker, the driver, suffered life-threatening injuries and was airlifted to the University of Kentucky Albert B. Chandler Hospital. Toxicology results are pending as the investigation continues.
