Remembering Stacie Wenonah Stanley-Waskewitch: A Beloved Daughter, Sister, and Grandmother

The community of Frog Lake, Alberta, and surrounding areas is mourning the loss of Stacie Wenonah Stanley-Waskewitch, who passed away on March 2, 2026, at the age of 38. Stacie’s life, though tragically cut short, was one of deep family bonds, love, and connection, leaving a lasting imprint on all who knew her.

Stacie is survived by her devoted mother, Donalda Stanley, and father, Garry (Nellie) Waskewitch, as well as her adopted parents, Gwen & Daniel King, Ervin & Mary Jane Quinney, and Tina Quinney. She leaves behind her cherished granddaughter, Brynlee, her sister, Jody Stanley-Waskewitch, and numerous adopted sisters and brothers who all shared in her life and love. Stacie’s extended family—grandmother Irene Stanley, uncles, aunts, nephews, and nieces—also grieve her passing, remembering the joy and warmth she brought to family gatherings and everyday moments.

Stacie was predeceased by her brothers Freddy & Jayden Stanley, her maternal grandfather John Stanley, paternal grandparents Albert & Marjorie Waskewitch, and other beloved relatives, leaving a profound sense of loss for her surviving family.
