Madeline Spatafore Obituary, Seven Fields, PA Murder-Suicide Death: Domestic Violence Involving Husband, Ryan Hosso.

The community of Seven Fields, Pennsylvania, is joined in a state of “profound and heartbreaking mourning” following the tragic passing of Madeline Spatafore on Tuesday, April 28, 2026. A 25-year-old physician assistant whose life was defined by intellectual excellence and a commitment to healing, Madeline was fatally shot in her home in what authorities describe as a murder-suicide carried out by her husband, Ryan Hosso. Her sudden departure has left her family, colleagues at UPMC Presbyterian, and the wider Butler County community grappling with the loss of a young woman who was on the threshold of a brilliant career.

Madeline and Ryan were high school sweethearts who both graduated from Seneca Valley High School. They had been married for less than two years, having wed in September 2024. Madeline’s academic and professional achievements were a testament to her dedication; she graduated summa cum laude from Duquesne University in 2023 with a degree in health services and was serving as a neurovascular critical care physician assistant at the time of her death. To her coworkers and former professors, she was a “bright light” and a “compassionate professional” whose legacy in the medical field was already being established.

The tragedy unfolded in the early hours of Tuesday when Ryan Hosso reportedly contacted his parents to confess to the shooting before fleeing into a wooded area in neighboring Cranberry Township. Northern Regional police, alerted by his parents at 1:15 a.m., discovered Madeline deceased with multiple gunshot wounds at the couple’s Graywyck Drive residence. Following an hour-long search utilizing thermal drones, authorities located Hosso, who had died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

In Seven Fields, Madeline is being remembered as a “cherished daughter and friend” whose kindness left a lasting impression on everyone she met. As the community navigates this unthinkable loss, they stand in unwavering solidarity with the Spatafore family. Madeline will be deeply missed and forever honored as a woman of great purpose and heart
