Phoenix, AZ – A motorcyclist tragically lost their life after a devastating multi-vehicle crash on the westbound lanes of Loop 202 in Phoenix. The collision, which involved seven vehicles, occurred on Tuesday morning, December 9, 2025, around 8:45 a.m., near 32nd Street.
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety (AZDPS), two commercial vans and a motorcycle were among the vehicles involved in the crash. The motorcyclist is believed to have rear-ended another vehicle, which triggered a chain reaction that led to the involvement of additional vehicles. Sadly, after the crash, the motorcyclist was pinned underneath one of the commercial vans.
Emergency responders quickly arrived at the scene and rushed the rider to a nearby hospital with severe injuries. Despite efforts to save them, the motorcyclist was later declared deceased. Fortunately, there were no reports of injuries to the other individuals involved in the crash, though the incident left significant traffic disruption in the area.
