Illegal Cosmetic Procedure Leads to Influencer’s Tragic Death

A shocking verdict has brought justice in a case where a routine beauty procedure turned fatal, leaving a family grieving and raising urgent concerns about unlicensed cosmetic practices. Vivian Alexandra Gomez, a 53-year-old cosmetologist based in Florida, has been found guilty of felony involuntary manslaughter and practicing medicine without a license in the death of Christina Ashten Gourkani.

Gourkani, 34, was a social media personality and OnlyFans model admired by many for her striking resemblance to Kim Kardashian. Known for her online presence across TikTok and Instagram, she had built a following that celebrated her confidence and image. Her sudden and tragic death has left fans and loved ones devastated.

Prosecutors revealed that the fatal incident occurred in April 2023 at a hotel in Burlingame, California, near San Francisco International Airport. Gomez allegedly administered an illegal silicone butt injection during the visit. Shortly after the procedure, Gourkani began to feel unwell. Within a day, her condition worsened dramatically, leading to her death from respiratory failure and a pulmonary embolism. Authorities later confirmed that silicone had entered her bloodstream, contributing to the fatal outcome.
