It is with profound sadness that the family announces the passing of Peter Ronald Dow, fondly known as Ronnie, who peacefully left us at home on Sunday, 22nd March, at the age of 90. A life well-lived, Ronnie was much more than a father—he was a guiding presence, a devoted husband, and a cherished friend to everyone who knew him.
Ronnie shared a loving life with his late wife Mary and was the proud father of Elizabeth, Garry, Wendy, Ronnie, Scott, Stuart, and Fraser. Beyond his role as a father, he was a respected father-in-law, a doting grandfather, and a great-grandfather whose warmth and kindness touched the hearts of all generations. Family, friends, and neighbors recall his unwavering support, quiet humor, and the steady strength he offered through life’s challenges.
He was also a beloved brother, uncle, and a true friend to many, leaving a legacy of love, laughter, and lifelong connections. Those who had the pleasure of knowing him speak fondly of his generosity, gentle spirit, and the joy he brought into every room.
A service to celebrate Ronnie’s remarkable life will be held at Perth Crematorium on Wednesday, 8th April, at 1:30 pm, welcoming all who wish to pay their respects and honor his memory. The family kindly requests flowers be replaced with donations to Cancer Research and Alzheimer Scotland, reflecting causes close to Ronnie’s heart.
