What should have been an ordinary day turned into an unimaginable loss, as 21-year-old Fashawn McCann and her 20-month-old son, Sayvier, were both killed in a single-vehicle accident.
According to reports, the crash occurred on Sunday, March 22, just after 4:25 p.m., near the 8500 block of 140th Street along Highway 61. Authorities say the SUV driven by Fashawn suddenly left the roadway, rolled over, and struck a tree. Despite emergency response efforts, both mother and child were tragically pronounced dead at the scene.
