The incident occurred on March 22 in the 4700 block of Loyola Lane, where what should have been an ordinary day quickly became a tragedy that no one saw coming.
According to reports, the shooter had already fled the scene on foot before police arrived. Officers responded at approximately 5:07 p.m., finding Zarate lying on the ground. Despite the urgency of the situation, he was pronounced dead just 21 minutes later at 5:28 p.m. What makes this case even more unsettling is that no suspect has been identified, and no clear description of the shooter has been released.
