It is with profound sadness that the community of Sebastopol, California, along with the wider soccer family, mourns the passing of Fred Maggi, a founding member of the Vikings Soccer Club whose lifelong dedication to the sport and community has left a lasting and meaningful legacy.

Fred passed away in the early hours of the day, leaving behind a deep sense of loss among those who knew him personally and professionally. His involvement in soccer went far beyond participation—he was a driving force behind the growth and spirit of the Vikings Soccer Club, helping shape it into a strong and united organization built on values of teamwork, respect, and passion for the game.

He was recognized as a life member of the Vikings, as well as the Ballarat District Soccer Association (BDSA), Football Federation Victoria (FFV), and the Referees Association.
