A devastating tornado swept through western Oklahoma, leaving behind heartbreak and loss after claiming the lives of a mother and her daughter.

Authorities with the Major County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that 47-year-old Jodie Owens and her daughter, Lexi Owens, were found inside their van after the storm had passed. Emergency responders discovered the vehicle amid the debris, but tragically, both had already died.
