The EHOVE Career Center community is mourning the heartbreaking loss of two members of its school family following a tragic car accident. In a message shared with students, staff, and families, Superintendent Chris M. McCully confirmed the devastating news that one current senior student and a recent graduate have passed away.
The victims were identified as Paige Williams, a current senior studying cosmetology, and Lucille Hopkins, a graduate from the Class of 2025 who completed the Medical Careers program. Their sudden loss has left classmates, teachers, and the wider school community in deep shock and grief.
In his message to the EHOVE family, Superintendent McCully expressed the profound sorrow felt across the campus, emphasizing how deeply the loss is being felt by everyone connected to the school. He noted that when members of the school community are lost, the impact reaches far beyond the classroom, affecting students, faculty, families, and friends alike.
Paige Williams was remembered by peers as a dedicated student with a passion for cosmetology and a bright future ahead. Lucille Hopkins, who recently graduated, was admired for her commitment to the medical field and her determination to pursue a career helping others.
