Fatal Encounter on Grande Boulevard: Trevor Julian Identified in Road-Rage Shooting


TYLER, Texas — Authorities have identified the victim in Friday night’s tragic road-rage shooting as 29-year-old Trevor Julian of Whitehouse, Texas. The devastating incident, which unfolded along Grande Boulevard, has left the community mourning and searching for answers.

According to investigators, Julian was a passenger in a Tesla involved in a confrontation with a pickup truck stopped behind it. Officials say Julian exited the vehicle and approached the driver of the pickup, later identified as 23-year-old Dayton Morgan. During the encounter, Morgan allegedly shot Julian.

Emergency medical services quickly transported Julian to a nearby hospital. Despite life-saving efforts, he was pronounced deceased shortly after arrival. The sudden and violent nature of the incident has deeply shaken family, friends, and residents throughout Smith County.

Law enforcement officials confirmed that Dayton Morgan was arrested on a warrant for Murder. His bond has been set at $1,000,000. Following his arrest, Morgan was booked into the Smith County Jail, where he remains in custody as the legal process moves forward.

Authorities emphasize that the case remains under active investigation. Detectives are continuing to gather evidence, review witness statements, and piece together the events leading up to the fatal shooting. Officials have not released additional details at this time.
