COLLEGE STATION, Texas — The Texas A&M University community and Brandon Tate Black’s family and friends are mourning the untimely loss of a bright and compassionate young man. Brandon, a senior majoring in Electrical Engineering, passed away in December 2025 at the age of 23, leaving a profound void across Aggieland.

Born on September 30, 2002, in Friendswood, Texas, Brandon was known for his vibrant spirit, generosity, and unwavering dedication to both his studies and the people around him. Following in his father’s footsteps while forging his own path, he pursued his degree with determination and pride, earning admiration from classmates, professors, and peers alike.

At Texas A&M, Brandon excelled academically while fully embracing the Aggie spirit. He was actively involved in student organizations, professional ambassador programs, and campus service initiatives, always seeking ways to uplift and connect with others. His enthusiasm extended beyond the classroom—whether mountain biking, running, climbing, or simply sharing laughter with friends, Brandon brought warmth, joy, and curiosity into every interaction.

Family and friends describe him as a devoted son, brother, and friend whose love for others was evident in every gesture. He cherished time with his family, girlfriend, and younger siblings, creating memories through shared adventures, celebrations, and everyday moments that will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
