With heavy hearts and profound sorrow, the Ponder Independent School District community mourns the loss of Caden Nowicki, lovingly known to many as “Wicki.” Today, Caden—our #44—crossed into the loving arms of our Heavenly Father, leaving behind a wave of grief, love, and remembrance that stretches far beyond the football field and school hallways.
Caden was more than a student-athlete; he was a bright light in the lives of everyone around him. Known for his passion, dedication, and infectious spirit, he inspired teammates, classmates, teachers, and friends alike. His energy, positivity, and unwavering commitment to his team reflected the heart of a true leader.
