According to the Anderson County Coroner’s Office, the wreck occurred at approximately 6:15 p.m. near the intersection of South Murray Avenue and Sayre Street, an area residents say sees frequent traffic during evening hours.

Preliminary information released by authorities indicates that Landers was traveling along South Murray Avenue when his vehicle was struck broadside by another car traveling on Sayre Street.
