A Beautiful Soul Gone Too Soon”: Pregnant Mother‑of‑Two, Jadah Aeriona, Killed in Early Morning Monroe Shooting

The Monroe community is grieving after a tragic early‑morning shooting claimed the life of a young mother and left another person wounded. Around 2:30 a.m. Sunday, officers with the Monroe Police Department responded to reports of gunfire in the 100 block of G.W. Carver Drive, where they discovered a woman suffering from fatal gunshot wounds.

The victim has been identified by family and in sympathy posts as Jadah Aeriona, a devoted mother of one and a soon‑to‑be mother of two. Jadah was pronounced dead at the scene. A man who was also shot was transported to a local hospital for treatment; his condition has not been released and police have not officially confirmed identities.

Social media tributes poured in soon after news spread, painting a portrait of a young woman full of promise and love. Jadah was remembered as a Kennesaw State University student preparing to graduate this spring—a milestone she was eagerly looking forward to. Friends and family shared memories of her warmth, ambition, and the joy she brought to those around her.
