The close-knit civic organizations, local faith networks, and residential communities of Lubbock, Texas, are draped in a heavy blanket of profound sorrow and intense heartbreak following the passing of Stephen “Lee” Jensen. The exceptional 44-year-old resident, former first responder, and devoted family cornerstone entered into the presence of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Saturday, May 30, 2026. His peaceful passing occurred at his private residence, completely surrounded by the warmth, prayer, and love of his adoring wife and children. His departure has left his loving spouse, Angella Jensen, his six beautiful children, his grandchildren, and an extensive network of lifelong friends completely shattered as they navigate an immeasurable physical and emotional void. Stephen was a remarkably strong, faithful, and genuine man whose extraordinary quiet strength left an indelible mark on everyone fortunate enough to know him.

Born in Plainview, Texas, on June 7, 1981, to Lynn and Vicki Jensen, Stephen grew up with a deep love for working with his hands and serving his community. After graduating, he spent years utilizing his mechanical talents to help others and bravely served as a volunteer firefighter. In 2011, he transitioned into a successful, respected career at Patterson Drilling, where his unyielding integrity, powerful work ethic, and dedication to his shift partners earned him the absolute highest regard from colleagues and industry peers alike.

On June 29, 2012, Stephen wed the love of his life, Angella, in Snyder, Texas. Together, they established a Christ-centered household at Turning Point Community Church. Even while quietly facing a severe, painful illness, Stephen consistently put his family first and hid his discomfort. Private celebration of life services are currently being coordinated.
