The close-knit religious, athletic, and academic communities of Jesup, Georgia, are draped in a heavy blanket of profound sorrow and intense heartbreak following the sudden passing of Daniel Broadhead, a remarkably accomplished 31-year-old young man who left this world unexpectedly on Monday, June 1, 2026. His premature departure has left his father, Wayne Broadhead of Jesup, his mother, Dj Adams of Flowery Branch, his siblings, and a massive network of extended family members completely shattered as they collectively navigate an immeasurable void. Daniel was an exceptionally disciplined, faithful, and vibrant soul whose extraordinary commitment to community service left an indelible mark on everyone fortunate enough to cross his path.
Born in Atlanta, Daniel spent the vast majority of his life in Wayne County, where his foundational faith played a central role in shaping his character. As a devoted, lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he demonstrated his profound spiritual convictions by faithfully serving a two-year mission in Indiana and attending Seminary daily. He was an elite competitor who graduated as an Honor Graduate from Wayne County High School’s Class of 2013, achieving the prestigious rank of Eagle Scout. His natural athleticism earned him a running scholarship to Augusta University, and at the time of his passing, he was continuing his higher education as a dedicated student at the University of Georgia, balancing his rigorous studies with a fierce passion for cross country, track, and local CrossFit training.
To celebrate his inspiring legacy of perseverance and kindness, formal funeral services have been scheduled for Friday, June 5, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at the Rinehart and Sons Funeral Home Chapel in Jesup, with Elder Clint Mallard officiating. A secondary memorial service will follow on Saturday in Flowery Branch.
