Monsignor Sal dedicated his life to the service of God and the Church, faithfully ministering to the people of the Diocese of Buffalo for more than four decades. Ordained to the priesthood in 1982, he answered his calling with humility, devotion, and a deep commitment to guiding others in faith.
For 34 years, Msgr. Sal served at the Catholic Center in the Tribunal Office, where he worked tirelessly in support of the Church’s mission and the faithful it serves. His knowledge, wisdom, and compassionate approach to ministry made him a respected and beloved figure among colleagues, clergy, and parishioners alike. Earlier this year, he entered retirement after a lifetime of dedicated service.
Beyond his work at the diocesan level, Monsignor Sal will also be warmly remembered for his years as Pastor of St. Louis Church, where he shepherded his parish community with care, kindness, and unwavering faith. Those who knew him often speak of his gentle spirit, thoughtful guidance, and the sincere compassion he showed to everyone who crossed his path.
Throughout his ministry, Msgr. Sal touched countless lives—celebrating sacraments, offering spiritual counsel, and providing comfort in moments of both joy and sorrow. His dedication to the Church and his love for the people he served left a lasting mark that will not be forgotten.
