FBI Arrests Shooting Suspect Keith White at Indianapolis Airport

INDIANAPOLIS — FBI agents apprehended 37-year-old Keith White at Indianapolis International Airport on Tuesday in connection with a non-fatal shooting that occurred in Indianapolis during the early morning hours of March 6, 2026. The arrest brings swift action to a case that had captured the attention of local law enforcement and the community.

According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD), officers were dispatched around 1:20 a.m. to the 3700 block of Graceland Avenue, where they discovered a man had been shot. Investigators traced the incident to 38th Street and identified White as the suspect. White is a convicted felon who had been on supervised release for a prior drug trafficking case when the shooting occurred.

Authorities obtained an arrest warrant on Monday, and the FBI assisted in coordinating White’s capture. He was arrested as he deplaned at Indianapolis International Airport, after traveling from El Paso, Texas, and then Denver, Colorado, before arriving in Indianapolis. Law enforcement praised the collaboration between local and federal agencies, which ensured the suspect was apprehended safely and efficiently.

The FBI initially did not release White’s identity or specify details about the shooting, but IMPD later confirmed his involvement. While the shooting was non-fatal, authorities have stressed the seriousness of the offense and the risk posed by White while he was on supervised release.
