Ryan is also survived by his loving parents, Laurie Joyce and John Joyce (Joyce Clark), as well as his caring sisters, Kelli Gunn and Kerry Simmons (Scott).

Ryan was first and foremost a devoted father to his two children, Jillian and Caden Joyce, whom he shared with their mother, Ester Joyce. Those closest to him say his greatest pride in life was being their dad. He cherished the moments they spent togetherโ€”whether it was playing chess with Jillian, heading to the golf course with Caden, or cheering them on from the sidelines during their lacrosse and basketball games. Supporting and protecting his children was always at the center of everything he did.

Ryan is also survived by his loving parents, Laurie Joyce and John Joyce (Joyce Clark), as well as his caring sisters, Kelli Gunn and Kerry Simmons (Scott). He adored his nieces Meredith and Molly and his nephews Cameron and Fazion, who brought him endless joy. His extended familyโ€”including the Joyce and Brogger familiesโ€”shared a particularly close bond with him, creating memories through family gatherings, laughter, and lifelong friendships.

Friends from his days at Northview High School remember Ryan as someone who built strong, lasting relationships that continued long after graduation. He had a way of lighting up whenever he was surrounded by the people he loved. Outside of family time, Ryan enjoyed being outdoors, especially on the golf course or near the lake. He was also a passionate fan of the Detroit Lions, Detroit Tigers, and Detroit Pistons.
