It is with profound sorrow that we share the news of the passing of Kenneth “Kenny” MacLeod, a retired officer and dedicated reserve officer whose life was defined by service, integrity, and unwavering commitment to his community. Officer MacLeod tragically succumbed to injuries sustained in a traffic crash on Interstate 75 at Royal Palm, leaving family, friends, and colleagues heartbroken.
Kenny’s distinguished career began in October 1990, when he joined the department with a steadfast dedication to public safety. Over the next three decades, he served with honor, earning the respect and admiration of fellow officers, community members, and those he protected. Following his retirement in March 2020, Kenny continued to serve as a reserve officer, exemplifying a lifelong commitment to duty and public service. His mentorship, guidance, and leadership shaped the careers of younger officers and left an enduring impact on the department.
Beyond his professional life, Kenny was a man of remarkable kindness and generosity. He touched countless lives through his compassion, dedication, and willingness to support others in times of need.
