The city of Beaumont is reeling from the senseless murder of Marquise Tillman, a 23-year-old father of three, who was tragically shot outside his own apartment complex on Tuesday night. The shooting occurred around 9:45 p.m. near 3710 Magnolia Street at the Pointe North Apartments, where Marquise was gunned down just steps from the place he called home. Neighbors reported hearing gunshots, and when police arrived, they found Marquise bleeding out on the roadway near Grand Avenue. Despite paramedics’ best efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities have been unable to find any suspects in this heartbreaking case. Crime scene investigators were brought in, but so far, no arrests have been made, and the shooter remains at large.
