Yucaipa, CA — A routine Tuesday afternoon commute quickly turned chaotic after a multi-vehicle collision on the eastbound 10 Freeway sent four people to the hospital and shut down several lanes near Yucaipa Boulevard.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 12:49 p.m. on January 27, when four vehicles collided under still-unclear circumstances. One of the drivers reported that their vehicle had overturned, prompting bystanders to rush in and help occupants escape before emergency crews arrived.
When first responders reached the scene, they found a black SUV flipped onto its roof, blocking the fast lane of traffic and causing immediate congestion. Paramedics assessed multiple people at the scene and transported four individuals to local hospitals with minor injuries. Thankfully, no life-threatening injuries were reported.
