Graceville, FL — The community of Graceville is mourning the loss of Patrick Lee Pelham Jr., 78, who passed away peacefully on January 23, 2026, surrounded by family and loved ones. A lifelong resident of the town he cherished, Patrick’s life was defined by devotion to family, faith, and community service, leaving an enduring legacy that will be remembered by all who knew him.
Born on July 22, 1947, Patrick graduated from Graceville High School in 1965 and earned an Associate of Arts degree from Chipola Junior College in 1967. He continued his studies at Florida State University, receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Insurance and Risk Management in 1969. Patrick began his career with the State of Florida Department of Insurance in Tallahassee before returning to Graceville in 1975 to purchase and operate Pat Pelham Insurance, serving the community for over four decades until his retirement in 2018.
A man of deep faith, Patrick was a lifelong member of Graceville First United Methodist Church. He actively contributed to the congregation as Chairman of the Staff-Parish Relations Committee, member of the Administrative Council, Sunday School teacher, choir member, and participant in the United Methodist Men.
