Tragedy Strikes on Hicksville Road: Two Teens Dead in Violent Crash, Driver Survives

A horrific crash late Friday night has left two Levittown families devastated and searching for answers. At around 11:30 p.m. on January 23, 2026, a 23-year-old man was driving a 2026 white BMW on Old Country Road in Hicksville, with 19-year-olds Lindsey Parke and Alexa Duryea in the car. In an instant, the vehicle lost control, veered into oncoming traffic, slammed into a tree, and then crashed into a building near Sterling Place.

Both teenage passengers were found with such severe injuries that paramedics declared them dead at the scene. The driver, who sustained injuries described as non-life-threatening, was treated at a nearby hospital. Nassau County police are now investigating the cause of the crash and are asking for witnesses or video footage to come forward.

Lindsey Parkeโ€™s family has announced that her wake will be held on Wednesday at Thomas F. Dalton Funeral Home in Levittown, where friends and family will gather to honor a young woman described by her brother as โ€œthe strongest guardian angel heaven has gained.โ€ The service arrangements for Alexa Duryea have not yet been made public.

These two young women, full of potential and with their entire futures ahead of them, are now gone, leaving their community in shock. They were expected to attend graduations, birthdays, and summer nights for many years to come.
