The Maumelle Fire Department and the Conway community are in mourning after the sudden death of Firefighter Caleb Sackhoff, who tragically passed away off-duty on Thursday, January 22. Though his time with the department was brief—having only joined in August 2024—Caleb made a significant impact on those around him, quickly establishing himself as a dedicated member of Engine Company 1. His obituary highlights a young man with immense promise, recently honored with the Academic Achievement Award from the Arkansas Fire Training Academy.
