Stafford, VA – The Stafford County community is in mourning following the heartbreaking death of Jaycob Hall, an 18-year-old senior at Stafford High School and a dedicated recruit with Stafford County Fire and Rescue. Jaycob passed away on January 10, 2026, from injuries sustained in an off-duty traffic accident that has left family, friends, and colleagues devastated.

Jaycob was a promising young man with a passion for service. He joined the High School Fire Academy 7 program in July 2025 and had been working toward his Firefighter I certification while balancing his high school responsibilities. During his time in the academy, he completed his Hazardous Materials Operations certification and earned the admiration of instructors, peers, and classmates for his work ethic, leadership, and dedication to public service.
