San Antonio, TX – The San Antonio community is in mourning following the tragic death of Aumarea Kutraveon Luckey Hudspeth, a 26-year-old man, who was fatally shot Sunday night near Flying Hooves Road, close to Loop 410 and South Foster.

The incident occurred on the evening of January 18, 2026, when authorities responded to a residence in the area following reports of gunfire. When officers arrived at the scene, they discovered Aumarea Hudspeth suffering from gunshot wounds. He was quickly transported to a nearby hospital but, despite the best efforts of medical staff, he tragically succumbed to his injuries.

Aumarea, known to his family and friends as “Lucky”, was described as a kind-hearted, generous individual who always put others first. Those close to him have expressed their grief, remembering him as someone with a contagious laugh and a loyal friend who made everyone feel welcome. His untimely death has left a gaping hole in the hearts of all who knew him.

The circumstances surrounding the shooting remain under investigation, and police have not yet disclosed any details about a possible suspect or motive.
