Repeat Offender Charged in Deadly Random Shooting Near Kissimmee: Three Tourists Killed

Osceola County, FL – A 29-year-old man, Ahmad Jihad Bojeh, has been charged with three counts of first-degree murder following a senseless and tragic shooting spree that left three tourists dead in Indian Point, near Kissimmee. The victims, identified as Douglas Joseph Kraft, 68, of Columbus, Ohio, Robert Luis Kraft, 70, of Holland, Michigan, and James John Puchon, 68, were visiting the area near Walt Disney World when they were gunned down outside a short-term rental home on January 17, 2026, around 12:14 p.m.

The shooting was completely random, with no prior connection between the victims and the suspect, whom Osceola County Sheriff Marcos Iorio called a “cold-blooded, premeditated” killer. Bojeh, who has a history of criminal behavior, was detained without resistance. Deputies discovered two firearms in his possession, which are currently being tested for ballistic matches.

Bojeh’s criminal history includes a 2021 arrest for attempted first-degree murder and aggravated battery after he allegedly shot at a person and vehicles at a Kissimmee gas station. He was acquitted by reason of insanity. His record also includes felony drug possession, a 2019 retail theft charge, and prior arrests for resisting an officer without violence.

This shooting has left the Kissimmee community in shock, as families from across the country came to enjoy a vacation, only to have their lives shattered by random violence. Sheriff Iorio assured the public that there was no ongoing threat, but expressed outrage at the senseless loss of life.

Bojeh remains held without bond, as authorities continue their investigation into the tragic event.
