It is with heartfelt sorrow that the Macon, Georgia community mourns the passing of Siedra Joy Cooper Pitts, who left this world on January 3, 2026, at the age of 52. Born November 24, 1973, Siedra touched countless lives with her kindness, dedication, and unwavering commitment to others.
Services celebrating Siedraโs life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at Lundy Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, with interment at Macon Memorial Park. A visitation will take place on Friday, January 9, 2026, from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Hutchings Funeral Home, Inc.
Siedra was the cherished daughter of Curtis L. Cooper III and the late Allene Pounds Cooper. Her career as a school counselor with Griffin-Spaulding County Schools reflected her passion for guiding and uplifting young minds. She was known not only for her professional dedication but also for her compassion, patience, and ability to make every student feel seen and valued.
A devoted member of Lundy Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, Siedra faithfully served as an usher, offering her time and warmth to the congregation. Her spirit of service extended beyond her church and school, leaving a lasting impact on all who knew her.
Siedra is survived by her loving father, as well as many relatives and friends who will forever treasure her memory. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Siedraโs name to Lundy Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, ensuring her legacy of service and love continues to inspire others.
